Math has a hand in all areas of STEAM, and is so much more than a textbook. Math allows people to explore the universe and the world around them in a concrete way, and can be used to theoretical and applied studies alike. Although Math sometimes takes a back seat to the other members of the STEAM acronym, it plays a crucial part in how the community in collaboration. At Notre Dame, we work hard through our group projects and our community outreach days to show the ways that math can reach beyond the classroom and into the world.
