The science department of Notre Dame’s STEAM club focuses on three major categories: physics, chemistry and biology.  The science activities at STEAM events use interesting components of these categories to provide a fun and educational experience.  For example, attendees of our last event learned about oobleck, a substance which has properties of both a liquid and a solid! In our major focus on healthy living this year the science department will use human biology and the science behind what makes certain foods healthier than others to explore a healthy and well rounded diet.  We will also explore the scientific concepts behind the environments needed in a greenhouse to grow healthy plants. Overall, those involved in the science department of Notre Dame’s STEAM club will be challenged to think critically from a scientific standpoint about the world around them
