Although there is no H to declare the presence of horticulture in the STEAM world, horticulture at Notre Dame is a key part of the school community. We're lucky to have an amazing greenhouse as well as outdoor gardening space to engage with. Horticulture allows students to connect with nature and explore project based learning in ways the encourage project engagement, mental health, and physical health. The horticulture program has spread throughout the community, reaching beyond the STEAM club and into the science classrooms, the culinary department, the arts department, and into the lives of the Notre Dame Student Body.
